I wonder why it seems so hard to keep up a blog…
My friend from Irvine came down today, and it’s always nice to have his company around. I didn’t see too much of him because he went to play poker for most of the day, but lunch was good. Vietnamese baguettes + curry is so good! At least the baguettes at the pho place next to noodle town.
Today I hung out with friends that I don’t see too much. It was very nice =]. Spending time apart from friends allows you to appreciate their company that much more when you meet up again. A simple night of chatting, late dinner, and a little wine/liqueur connoisseurship is appreciated.
I’m in the process of painting and building a skateboard for my friend, and today I sprayed 2 coats of primer on it. Tomorrow I may spray the BG white, but we’ll see. I have work that needs to be done, so we’ll see. Pics soon perhaps?
edit: perhaps I will start posting pics with my entries… it’s already so hard to keep up a photoblog.. but at least I wont feel bad about posting simple snapshots on this =P.
Once again, I find myself back to blogging and another attempt at keeping up some sort of regular posting.
Today I gave in and went out to buy some Levi 501 STF’s. I blame Lenny for getting me into denim culture, but i must admit, you really can tell nice jeans apart from normal jeans. “Once you go raw, you don’t go back”. I’ve held off for a while, but like I said earlier, I went out and got my first pair of raw jeans. I really would’ve liked to shell out ~$150 for a pair of Nudies or something, but at the same time, it just feels wrong to pay so much for jeans…
I’ll take some pics and post them up pretty soon. In the meantime, I have to figure out how to pre-shrink these =X.
edit: For those who don’t know, there is quite a big denim culture in which cultivating your own unique fade on a set of raw jeans is quite fashionable. People work months to years on a pair of jeans, wearing them hard and wearing them daily hoping that when it is washed for the first time, a nice fade is achieved. (It sounds kinda gross, but dry-cleaning is ok. First wash is really the first wash with water and detergent)
